Chinese electronics makers OnePlus and Realme have stopped producing and selling televisions in India, despite the category experiencing robust growth. Both companies had invested in the smart TV market, which has been boosted by the rise of streaming services and affordable data rates. The move comes as compatriot Xiaomi continues to thrive in the sector. In the first half of 2023, 4.5 million TVs were shipped to India, an 8% YoY increase, according to the International Data Corporation.
